Overview
A plate heat exchanger (PHE) transfers heat between two fluids through a pack of thin corrugated plates clamped in a frame. Its compact plate pack gives a large heat-transfer surface in a small footprint, and plates can be added or removed for cleaning and maintenance.
In a CED coating plant it is used for bath temperature control, removing heat from the circulating paint so the bath stays at its required operating temperature.
